Axial Piston

Axial Piston Motor – Long Operating Life with Excellent High-Speed Capabilities.

Piston motors work under the same principle in reverse to that of a piston pump; the pistons are arranged parallel to shafts – (Bent-Axis and Swash Plate type).

Like the radial piston motors, the axial piston type motors use the reciprocating piston motion principle to rotate the output shaft, but the motion is axial, rather than radial. The axial piston motors have a long operating life with excellent high-speed capabilities, but they are limited at low operating speeds. These motors are available with both fixed-and variable-displacement features. The inline piston motor is designed either as a fixed or a variable-displacement.
