The IQAN-MC42 controller is an intermediate I/O count module in the MC4 family. It is best for mid-size applications such as powertrain control (e.g. power shift transmissions), distributing I/O on a vehicle (physically placed by functions), or to act as an additional controller in systems where the main controller does not provide enough I/O for the system.
The IQAN-MC42 is designed to be either an IEC 61508 SIL2 Functional Safety (-FS) variant or a performance optimized, standard controller.
