Remote Control for CAN Machinery

Magnetek’s Enrange CAN-2 receiver makes it possible to add remote control to CAN-controlled machinery. It can be integrated into products with CAN based protocols including J1939 and CANopen.

magnetek_CAN-2THIS RECEIVER ALLOWS THE USER TO TAP on to most CAN systems supporting a variety of CAN protocols. The design is rugged enough to handle outdoor environments, and the is response allows for precise control, without the latency found in other radio control systems. The receiver has two digital Machine Stop outputs, and two CAN ports. There’s a choice of 400 MHz, 900 MHz, or 2,4 GHz RF channels.

The receiver can be integrated into CAN-based products and products with any CAN based protocol including J1939, CANopen, ICP, and other CAN protocols. A dual microprocessor monitors safety outputs and internal and external antenna options are available. An optional Radio Control Programmer (RCP) allows the user to program settings from a Windows PC.

The device requires an input voltage of 12Vdc to 24Vdc nominal (9Vdc to 36Vdc max.). The enclosure is sealed to IP66 protection level and the operating temperature ranges from -40 °C to +85 °C. CAN-2 is compatible with a variety of the US company’s transmitters, including XLTX, Flex Pro, Flex EM, MLTX2, and Flex VUE.
