The Snow-Dozer is a purpose built snow removal truck for airport runways and mountain passes. This new design controls two engines with electronic controls, and allows for three different attachments. The total machine control application specific software accommodates different configurations with and without four wheel steering capability. The control system also communicates with all of the different electronic controllers on the truck.
GS Global Resources (GSGR) created a total machine control system that communicates with every part of the truck and the multiple attachments. The control system automatically detects the attachment and adjusts its performance parameters and allows for quick interchange of the plow, broom, and snow blower. The control system performs proportional control of attachment positions and movements for increased life. The truck also has selectable four wheel steering modes: front, four wheel coordinated, crab, and independent rear steer for better maneuverability. Electronic traction control of the transfer case and the differential lock engages and disengages as traction is needed to improve fuel economy and drive performance. The integrated control system puts all of the monitoring and diagnostic information in the operator’s hands for both engines, transmission, anti-lock brakes & implement control system.
